He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! That familiar call and response might still be echoing from Easter Sunday, but we live in a world that makes a very different proclamation. So what does it mean to declare “Christ is risen” on Monday and Tuesday and so on … when the powers of an old kingdom are loud and unrelenting?
Jesus sacrifice and resurrection have set humanity free and ushered in a new kingdom's abiding relationship with our creator God as Father! The chains that held us and forced conformity have been broken and now we practice that resurrection by resisting the old kingdom's pull toward numbness, and becoming people rooted in love and sustained by grace!
"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed!" John 8 verse 36
