In Non-Essential Beliefs ... We Have LIBERTY

Accept him whose faith is weak; without passing judgment on disputable matters ... who are you to judge someone else's servant? ... so then, each of us will give account of himself to God.  Romans 1:1,4,12,22

In All Our Beliefs . . . We Show CHARITY

… and hold in my mind not only all human knowledge, but the very secrets of God and if I have the absolute faith which can move mountains – but have no love, I amount to nothing at all.
1 Corinthians 13:2

WE BELIEVE:

Scripture - We believe the scripture, both old and new testaments, to be the inspired word of God, without error in the original autographs, the complete revelation of his will for the salvation of all people, the divine and final authority for the Christian life and faith.

Godhead - There is only one God, creator of heaven and earth, who exists eternally as three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each fully God, yet each personally distinct from the other.

Father - We believe in God the Father, creator of all things, visible and invisible, who in his infinite being demonstrated his love for sinners in the substitutional death of Jesus.

Jesus Christ - We believe in the deity and humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, his virgin birth, atoning death, bodily resurrection and ascension. We eagerly await his bodily return.

Holy Spirit - We believe that all people are created in the image of God. Through the fall of Adam and Eve, we were separated from God. We remain in that state until the moment of regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Only through the work of the Holy Spirit can this eternal life be received.

Humankind - All people are created in God’s image and matter deeply to him. Central to the message of the Bible is that God loves people and invites them to live in communion with himself and in community with each other.

Salvation - We believe that God in his great love for all people provided the ultimate sacrifice for sin in his Son, Jesus Christ. Only through his shed blood and resurrection, are there any grounds for justification and reconciliation to God. Salvation is, therefore, received as a free gift by faith. Salvation cannot be earned through personal goodness or human effort. It is a gift that must be received by humble repentance and faith in Christ and his finished work on the cross.

Church - All believers are members of the body of Christ, the one true church universal. The local church is a congregation of believers who gather for worship, prayer, teaching, encouragement, mutual accountability, and community with each other. Together, those following Jesus, invest time, energy and resources, to live out God's love in practical ways to share the reality that God loves the world, God loves us all and together growing in our love of Christ.
