Jesus initiated something REVOLUTIONARY, a complete departure from the rules based Religious model. And early Christianity started so well - a beautiful community of people from all walks of life - living out the love of God with everyone. How did Jesus movement - which was simply faith in Jesus fuelled by love for one another - become Religion 2.0?
Long answer: There's a little bit of the Religious model in all of us and so the way we view God, sin and others is heavily influenced by what we’ve been taught. Our consciences have been shaped by a version of Christianity that’s an unhealthy blend of the rules based Religious model and Jesus and that little bit of the old - pollutes what Jesus has begun.
